Tools used for Development: Google Slides, Google Docs, Canva
Time in Development: 2 days
My Role: Instructional Designer, developer
Context: To support in-person delivery of the Colgan CFI Training, I developed an instructor-led training (ILT) version to complement the eLearning course. Materials include a Google Slides presentation, a detailed facilitator guide, and a participant guide designed to reinforce learning, encourage reflection, and promote real-world application.
Challenge: While the eLearning course provided flexible, self-paced training, Colgan needed a live option to support CFIs who benefit from guided discussion and in-person interaction. The challenge was to create a consistent, engaging in-person experience that reinforced key concepts while allowing for questions, reflection, and practical application.
Solution: I created a structured instructor-led training session designed for small groups of 1–2 CFIs. The solution includes a slide deck, facilitator guide, and participant guide that align with the eLearning content while offering opportunities for live discussion, real-world scenarios, and guided reflection. This approach ensures consistency across both delivery formats while supporting deeper engagement and confidence-building.
