My Role: Instructional Designer, Visual Designer, and Subject Matter Expert
Context: To support key learning objectives, I created a series of visual job aids that reinforce essential concepts and provide quick-reference guidance for new CFIs.
Challenges: New CFIs needed quick access to essential information without being overwhelmed by dense training materials. The challenge was creating clear, visually engaging infographics that could stand alone as reference tools while aligning with the course content.
Solution: I designed a set of concise, visually organized infographics using Venngage to highlight key processes, responsibilities, and best practices. Each graphic was integrated into the training at relevant points and later housed in the learner’s resource "flight bag" for ongoing reference.

My Role: Instructional Designer and Video Developer
Context: To reinforce customer service standards for Colgan CFIs, I created one main two-minute Vyond video that highlights key expectations through clear narration and visual storytelling. I also developed two short 30-second scenario-based videos as part of a reflective assessment, prompting learners to evaluate what the CFIs in each scenario could have done better. Together, these videos bring real-world relevance to the training and encourage critical thinking around professional interactions.
Challenges: The challenge was to present customer service expectations in a way that felt realistic, engaging, and relevant to new CFIs—without overwhelming them with text-heavy content. I also needed to create scenario videos that encouraged reflection while remaining brief, visually clear, and aligned with Colgan’s tone and training goals.
Solution: I created a two-minute explainer video in Vyond to introduce Colgan’s customer service standards using clear narration and on-brand visuals. I also developed two short scenario videos that encouraged learner reflection through realistic, time-efficient examples. The videos were embedded into the eLearning to boost engagement and reinforce key expectations.

My role: Instructional Designer, Visual Designer, and Subject Matter Expert
Context: I created this short lesson to help explain the essential FAA requirements student pilots must complete before progressing in training. It was designed as a practical resource that supports clear communication between flight instructors and new students.
Challenges: The main challenge was translating detailed FAA requirements into a short learning experience that felt clear, accurate, and manageable for the learner. I wanted the lesson to be informative without feeling dense or overly technical.
Solution: Using Mindsmith, I designed and developed a concise interactive lesson that introduces the key FAA requirements in a structured, learner-friendly format. The lesson breaks the content into clear sections and uses simple visuals and interactions to reinforce understanding.
